Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) |
Objectives : The CoreGRID Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) has three main objectives: 1) assessment of the work progress and overall scientific quality achieved by the Network, in effect acting as a peer-review council, 2) provide recommendations and guidance to the NoE strategic orientations, most importantly, the SAB will advice on the targets and strategies adopted by the JPA regarding the next activity period, and through this 3) guard the excellence of the Network. Members: The SAB has six members: three internal Network scientists and three external scientists. Internal members: | | | Henri E. Bal (Vrije U., The Netherlands) | Jarek Nabrzyzki (PSNC, Poland) | Uwe Schwiegelshohn (Dortmund U., Germany) | | External members:  | | | Jean-Pierre Banâtre (INRIA, France) | Dennis Gannon (Indiana U., USA) | Satoshi Sekiguchi (AIST, Japan) | | Meetings : - The first SAB Meeting was held on May 27, 2005 in Barcelona at UPC (Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya).
- The second SAB Meeting was held on January 31, 2006 in Sophia Antipolis, France.
- The third SAB meeting was held on February 27-28, 2007, in London - University of Westminster Headquarters, 309 Regent Street, London W1B 2UW.
- The fourth SAB meeting was organized on April 28-29, 2008 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
